Yeah I've encountered the same problem upgrading from XP. It's a shame Microsoft couldn't sort out this sort of problem before they released the code, because I for one can't evaluate the 'experience' if I can't get the installation to work! It doesn't bode well for the rest of the operating system if the installation software doesn't work, does it!
It's no wonder Linux is taking over. At least you can install the system!
Any of you bright sparks at Microsoft go any idea? About anything?
By the way, the first time I tried to post this question, there was a 'server error'. And again. Perhaps Microsoft servers can't stand criticism?

No, it's MSFT who can't stand criticism not their servers. I can't find your Original Post and don't know what these numbers mean. People who help here aren't MSFT. MSFT are the people who don't lift a finger to help--they hire incompetents from Convergys of Ohio on contracts to do thier phone support.

The major city that the ICBM tested in North Korea reaches is Seattle.

At what point do you get this error?

If you are seeing this error during file copying then it is likely due to burning the dvd at too high a speed. MS advises that three quarters of file copy errors are due to this. It is difficult to say more because you did not provided any description of what you are doing when you get this error.

They are too busy pulling 300 engineers to work 24X7 after telling the European Union to kiss off. The fine actually got to be more than Valet Parking at a Seattle club. Ignorance was bliss for MSFT General Counsel Brad Smith on that call.
